Mechanical Engineering is considered to be one of the most diverse and versatile of the engineering disciplines. Mechanical Engineering contributes to modern standard of living and no doubt almost all products of modern life have contributions from mechanical engineers.

The faculty members in the department are committed to academic excellence and actively involved in research oriented and societal related applied problems.

Department offers programs at B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) and Ph.D. levels. The objective of these programs is to create well trained and socially responsible technocrats with excellent managerial skills for the country.

Emphasis is laid on inculcating design thinking and exceptional decision-making skills in the students. The department makes efforts to continuously enhance the teaching-learning environment through best practices and pedagogy.
